“Best Friends” is the story of your other family - the one you choose.
About the Play
Best Friends is a sharp, funny and deeply moving dramedy that explores the bonds of female friendship across time. Set over the course of one pivotal evening, the play follows Sophie, Lelly, and Tirtzah as they reunite for the first time since their once-unshakable friendship spectacularly imploded. Moving seamlessly between flashbacks to their carefree younger selves and their present-day awkward, begrudging reunion, the three hash out old wounds. As the lines between past and present blur, they are forced to ask: Can the friendship that once defined them survive the women they’ve become? Told with biting humor, emotional complexity, and unflinching honesty, Best Friends is a celebration of female connection, resilience, and the unpredictable journey of life.

Our Mission
In the aftermath of October 7th, 2023, we feel an urgent need to bring Israeli theater to Jewish American and Israeli American communities across the U.S., offering a space for unity, healing, and connection. Best Friends by Anat Gov is a deeply resonant, quintessentially Israeli play that speaks to the strength and solidarity of women. Our almost entirely female production highlights the exceptional work of Israeli artists and reinforces the power of storytelling to inspire, uplift, and strengthen our community.
